OEDCommission Members
The Economic Development Commission consists of five Orange Residents. Each commission member is appointed to a two year term by the First Selectman. The OEDCommission is of vital importance to the overall economic development team, as they are able to view economic development activities from the perspective of the resident.
The Commission generally supports the marketing aspect of the economic development initiatives. Thus, the committee manages such projects as the preparation of brochures, maps, and other printed materials, along with the economic development website, and supports the marketing of the Orange Business and Community Expo and OrangeLife Magazine. An example of a program developed through the consultation of the Orange Economic Commission was the Broker’s Tour, which coincided with the Orange Business & Community Expo.
