Orange Business & Community Expo Join Us Wednesday

Only 26 Booths Remain
The OEDC is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 12th Annual Orange Business & Community Expo at High Plains Community Center. We will be limiting the number of vendors to 54 this year and we have officially reached 50% Booth Sales with our 27th registered vendor. The Expo routinely receives 500+ visitors on a yearly basis and we expect to a full house this year, too. If you have not already signed up to showcase your business, do so quickly! We can expect to be sold out by April 30th
We have several new vendors this year, including The Beardsley Zoo. The Beardsley Zoo will be bringing some of their animals to exhibit at the show. The Expo, which is open to the public is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the High Plains Community Center located at 525 Orange Center Road.

Colony Hardware Purchases Assets of Charles Haller Associates
Colony Hardware Coporation has announced that they have purchased the operating assets of Charles Haller Enterprises, Inc. of Syracuse, New York in a transaction completed on March 29, 2013. Colony Hardware located at 269 South Lambert Road is a leading distributor of tools, fasteners, safety products and construction supplies with headquarters in Orange, Connecticut. Charles Haller Enterprises was founded in 1980 by Charles Haller. Greg Mocyk, a 28 year Haller veteran will remain as General Manager for Colony. Charles Haller will stay on in a consulting capacity.
"We are very proud that the Haller employees are joining the Colony team and we are also very excited about expanding into the Syracuse market and the rest of Central New York", Colony President Michael Weiner stated. Colony's Syracuse branch will trade as Colony Hardware Corporation, DBA Haller Enterprises. Management is busy making plans to expand and grow the business. Over the past 30 days the Orange Economic Development Commission has been working on a business database for use in conjunction with the OrangeEDC Website. The online directory will contain business name, location, contact information and provide links to business websites, facebook pages and twitter accounts where available.
This effort is being funded by the Town's Economic Development Commission and is free to businesses and accessible by the general public. The final product will be upload to the OEDC Website no later than May 1, 2013. to view the exsiting website, please go to
