PHASE 2: The State released new rules for Phase 2 of reopening the economy scheduled for June 17. Please see the links below:

SELF CERTIFY: Remember to SELF-CERTIFY your business prior to opening. Note, the state keeps a LIST OF SELF CERTIFIED BUSINESSES on their site. The SMALL BUSINESS REOPENING GUIDE is available to help with reopening.
PPE SUPPLIERS/DISTRIBUTORS: The State compiled a downloadable listing of Personal Protective Equipment distributors to assist businesses with obtaining cleaning supplies, PPE equipment, plexiglass barrier materials and more. PPE SUPPLIERS
PAYCHECK PROTECTION FLEXIBILITY ACT: US Congress passed a bill called the Paycheck Protection Flexibility Act that makes several changes to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Important changes include:
- Extending the period to use PPP funds to 24 weeks (from 8 weeks)
- Reducing the minimum payroll spend to 60% (from 75%)
- Extending the time to pay back the loan (if not forgiven) to 5 years (from 2 years)
Borrowers can use the 24-week period to fully restore their workforce levels and wages (December 31 instead of June 30).The new LEGISLATION includes updates and exceptions relating to loan forgiveness, the rehiring of employees, and payment of payroll taxes.
OEDC Q&A WEBINAR: On June 3, we had 27 businesses participate in our webinar, "COVID19 As the Economy Reopens." The town's Sanitarian, Director of Health, Chief of Police and Director of Emergency Management gave an update of how they are handling the pandemic relating to the business community and were on-hand to answer questions. CAMPGROUNDS: The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has announced State campgrounds will open for the season July 8. Campers at DEEP campgrounds with RVs will be able to keep their reservations for dates starting on July 1, with reopening for both tent and RV camping on July 8. Anyone with reservations prior to these dates will receive refunds. DEEP - CAMPING
