Chef's Emporium Opens in Orange
The Orange Connecticut Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce that Chef’s Equipment Emporium has opened for business on 449 Boston Post Road, Orange, Connecticut. The store opened for business in December and has been busy since its opening. Owner, Michele DeMartino says, “We are very exciting to be in Orange along the vibrant Boston Post Road.” A grand opening is scheduled for January 26th.
The store sells residential and commercial cooking-related equipment; some of which include cutlery, bakeware, and all kinds of unique kitchen gadgets. Other interesting items they sell are gourmet food and ingredients, including specialty oils and vinegars, spices, etc. Chef’s also conducts cooking classes in their gourmet kitchen showroom. The three-hour classes are conducted by instructors from the Lincoln Culinary Institute and include anything from ethnic entrees to making home made cheeses. There is a fee for the class and reservations are needed to attend. For more information, call (203) 799-COOK and you may also check the website at chefsequipmentemporium.com.
OrangeLife Magazine
The December issue was well received by the public. The OEDC has distributed over 7,000 copies to date and will be looking to produce nearly 8,000 issues in the June 2013 issue. The OEDC purchased magazine racks so that additonal copies are available to the public. The racks were placed at the the Case Memorial Library, Town Hall, and High Plains Community Center. Also, stacks of magazines are on display at the Courtyard Marriott, local medical offices, and a few Orange businesses. The OEDC has been restocking the magazines so often that supply is almost depleted. Thank you to all of the advertisers for your support.
