There's been a lot of movement on the business side in Orange, and I am pleased to announce the following activity, as well as touch upon our upcoming events.

BUSINESS UPDATE

Activity

·     464 Boston Post Road – The space will be subdivided and recently leased to two great businesses: Marathon Sports (3,180 sf) and Head Shop (3,010 sf)

·     569 Boston Post Road - Leased to Micro Tech Staffing Group (1,200 sf)

·     116 Boston Post Road - Leased to Modern Tea Shop and Gemini Nail Salon

·     45 Connair Road – Leased to Miller Pipeline (11,700 sf)

·     370 Boston Post Road - Achieve Improved Motion leased additional space to a total of 2,200 sf

Construction Continues

·     292 Boston Post Road - Former Party City, ongoing construction to subdivide into four spaces

·     88 Marsh Hill Road – Noble Gas, Phase 1 construction is moving along, the building is up

·     200 Indian River Road – Big Y, renovation plans have been submitted

·     35 Old Tavern - Former Patriot Bank building, ongoing construction to subdivide into two

·     507 Boston Post Road – Veg ER Pets, plans have been submitted

Opening Soon

·     Bright Beginnings – 449 Boston Post Road, the children's daycare plans to open late spring/early summer and is TAKING REGISTRATIONS.

·     Genesis Brunch – 501 Boston Post Road, the all-day brunch eatery is scheduled to open in June.

·     Goldfish Swim Academy - 538 Boston Post Road, the swim school is opening soon and taking PRE-REGISTRATIONS.

·     J&W Playworld – 80 Boston Post Road, the children's entertainment center is opening soon.

·     Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings – 348 Boston Post Road, renovations are taking place in the former TGI Fridays for the new restaurant featuring soup dumplings.

·     Yemerica Coffee – 80 Boston Post Road, a cafe featuring Yemeni coffee and pastries.

Business Losses

·     Guji – 311 Boston Post Road

·     iSpa – 560 Boston Post Road

Although not closed yet, House of Brides at 236 Boston Post Road, is closing soon and is currently having sales. They are open on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays until they close.

Future Openings

More spaces are either in lease negotiations or just cannot be announced yet. Hopefully I can announce in the next newsletter. Stay tuned...

Save the Date - June 18th 

 

Save the date for the 6th Annual Artisan Fest & Business Expo. The all outdoor business and community event is scheduled on Thursday, June 18th from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, at the Orange Fairgrounds, 525 Orange Center Road, Orange.

Businesses, artisans, crafters, and farmers will be selling their products and services. Visitors can expect shopping, networking, activities, live music, and food trucks. Gunn Street Revival will be playing from 6:00 - 8:00 at the Gazebo, the first Town Concert night of the season. A new activity added for kids this year is a foam play event from 5:00 - 6:00, where kids can play in safe, clean bubble foam provided by Foam Fun Parties. In addition, there will be craft activities, blood pressure checks, a dance performance, and a strings performance. All activities are free and the event is free and open to the public. Vendors can look forward to showcasing their business, selling their products and services on site, and networking with vendors and attendees. There is still space available and vendors can REGISTER ONLINE.

ORANGELIFE MAGAZINE

Summer Issue is Coming Soon!

The summer issue is scheduled to be mailed to all Orange resident, business, and PO Box addresses by the week of 5/18. Past issues are available to READ ONLINE as well. This issue will be posted online in June. Any business wanting to advertise in the winter issue, please contact us.

 

OEDC 20TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNIE 

The OEDC's 20th Annual Golf Tournament is set for Tuesday, September 15th at Race Brook Country Club beginning with a continental breakfast at check-in, a shotgun start at 9:30 am, and lunch reception immediately following where awards will be announced. We are planning a lot of fun on the course with contests, food and drink stations, and more. Registration is now open and golfers can apply online HERE. Anyone wanting to sponsor, please contact us.

Once again, we are partnering with the Orange Volunteer Fire Department and we will donate a portion of our proceeds to this organization.
