Governance
The OEDC, a non-for-profit organization, is governed by its Board of Directors, which is comprised of up to 36 individuals from local private businesses, residents and town government. These members are essential in the OEDC's efforts to administer the economic development agenda of the Town of Orange.
The OEDC Board of Directors take a very active role in supporting the town's economic development initiatives. This support includes;
- Promotion of the town as an attractive place to conduct business.
- Development of economic opportunities within the town's industrial zone.
- Financial contributions to the OEDC's general budget.
- Administrative support of the town's Economic Development Commission, Boston Post Road Implementation Committee and other local Not-for-Profit organizations, such as the Orange Chamber of Commerce and the Orange Rotary Club.
- Assist in the development of future economic development programs and activities.
- Participation in OEDC Committees and Events.
- Attend the Orange Economic Development Corporation Annual Meeting.
All support for the OEDC greatly contributes to the successful economic development of the Town of Orange and aids in the continuing progress toward an even better community and business environment for all.
