EDISON ROAD MEETS MARSH HILL ROAD The extension of Edison Road to Marsh Hill Road is nearing completion. Pictured below: Earthworks Excavating & Landscaping is preparing the road for the installation of water lines, coordinated by the Regional Water Authority. The OEDC expects the first phase of the Edison Road Construction to be completed by September 30, 2013, with the final paving, striping shortly thereafter. Many sources of funds have been sought and received to pay for the extension of Edison Road, including federal, state and local contributions.
The roadway which originally showed up in the Town's Development Plan for the Orange Industrial Area, dated October 3, 1962 will provide for an alternate connection of Marsh Hill Road to Prindle Hill Road. Companies such as PEZ Candy, Inc. and Aurora Products will see improved access for distribution trucks, while the reduction of traffic along Indian River Road should be quite noticeable. The roadway is anticpated to help spur the development of 50+ acres of vacant land currently being marketed along Edison Road.
7th ANNUAL OEDC GOLF TOURNAMENT
The OEDC is currently inviting guests to participate in the 7th Annual OEDC Golf Tournament being held on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Orange Hills Country Club. The event is being sponsored by the follwoing companies:

The food is especially appreciated as the OEDC provides the choice of Steak or Lobster for dinner.

ORANGE COMMERCIAL VACANCY RATES DECLINES TO 4.53%
In June of 2009, the OEDC conducted a survey of all the properties located within the Town's Commercial and Industrial Zones. This enabled the OEDC to maintian accurate statistics of its' industrial, office and retail vacancy rates. Currently, the combined vacancy rate stands at a historic low of 4.53%, which represents 275,187 square feet of vacancy out a total of 6,068,633 square feet of commercial space.

ORANGEEDC WEB BUSINESS DIRECTORY
The Orange Economic Development Coroporation has been completed its commercial business database for the purpose of creating an online Business Directory, used in conjunction with the OrangeEDC Website. The online directory contains business name, location, contact information and provide links to the business websites, facebook pages and twitter accounts where available.
