Jamba Juice Expands Presence into Twenty-Fourth State with Connecticut Store Opening

Local Entrepreneur Opens First Jamba Juice Store in Orange, CT.

With the goal of bringing a healthy, active lifestyle brand to fans in his local community, David Katz, principal of Five Star Equity Partners, LLC, celebrated the opening of his first Jamba Juice store in Orange, Connecticut, helping launch Jamba into the Company’s twenty-fourth state and newest franchise outlet.

“I am excited to bring Jamba Juice, a renowned and popular specialty beverage and food destination, officially to fans here in Orange,” said David Katz, owner/operator of Jamba Juice in Orange, Connecticut. “We started the blenders whirling officially on April 29 and now local fans and visitors are able to enjoy one of our more than 30 made-to-order whole fruit smoothies, including Jamba’s latest innovation in their smoothie portfolio--Fruit and Vegetable smoothies that provide one serving of veggies and two servings of fruit in every 16 oz serving. We also serve fresh squeezed orange and carrot juices, wheatgrass, and, of course, Jamba’s highly regarded slow-cooked oatmeal made with organic steel cut oats.”

Access to Capital

CT Women's Business Development Center Access to Capital - Alternative Small Business Loan Options

Orange, CT - The OEDC in partnership with the Women's Business Development Council of Stamford will conduct a workshop entitled Access to Capital - Alternative Small Business Loan Options. This event, which is Free and Open to the Public will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Case Memorial Library, located at 176 Tyler City Road, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Join the WBDC and their panel of commercial bankers, non-traditional lenders and sources of alternative loans and the requirements needed to qualify for funding.  If you are ready to open or expand your business and want to know the sources of capital available to you, don't miss this informative seminar.

Sponsors Mother's Day Rose Sale

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Rotary Club of Orange will be having its Annual Rose Sale on Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th (Mother's Day Weekend).

The cost is $15/dozen which includes a clear plastic box and care packet. There will be a variety of colors to choose from and they will make a wonderful Mother's Day Gift.

All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Rotary's initiatives both in the local community and abroad. Roses may be easily pre-ordered by contacting Mike Richetelli at (203)795-8060 or mike@colprop.com, by contacting any Orange Rotarian, or by visiting the Rotary website at www.orangectrotary.org .

Roses will be available for pick-up between 11-2 on Friday, May 6th in front of High Plains Community Center and then from 2-6 at Colonial Properties, 200 Boston Post Rd., Orange. Based on supply, they may also be available on Saturday, May 7th from 8-12 at the Orange Transfer Station. Remember that Rotary Roses are for all the women in your life!
