Orange Business & Community Expo Set For June 13, 2012 The OEDC is pleased to announce that the 2012 Orange Business Expo has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, 2012. The annual event will be held at the High Plains Community Center located at 525 Orange Center Road. This facility provides our vendors and our residents with a publicly accessible location which is more central to businesses and residents. One major change that we are also happy to announce is that for the first time, businesses will be able to sell products and our services on site of the Business & Community Expo. 2012 EXPO SPONSORS Event Sponsor: The

Area Businesses will be notified formally by February 15th when we send our annual vendor solicitations in the mail. OrangeLife Magazine June Issue The Orange, Connecticut Economic Development Corporation, is pleased to announce that Colony Hardware Corporation will be relocating their Corporate Headquarters and Distribution Center to 269 South Lambert Road, Orange, Connecticut. Colony Hardware started as a hardware store in Meriden, Connecticut during the 1940’s and was purchased by Michael Weiner and a partner in 1988. Under Mr. Weiner’s leadership, the company has grown to become the recognized regional leader in the distribution of tools, safety equipment and supplies for professional contractors. Colony also has a tool repair and rental division. The Company currently operates locations in Albany, Boston and Landover, Maryland. “We are very excited about the move to Orange and believe this new facility will enable us to achieve the next level of growth for our customers and company,” said Weiner. First Selectman James Zeoli of Orange is very excited about Colony choosing Orange as a location for business expansion. He said, “the Town has worked hard to promote a business friendly environment and Colony was able to see this. This is a key business location with easy access from Route 1 or I-95. The Town of Orange looks forward to a long term relationship with Colony Hardware Corporation.”
Colony’s current Headquarters and Distribution Center are located in New
Haven, Connecticut. The company currently employs 100 associates in
