Jake's Wayback Burgers Opens in Orange
On Thursday, March 31, Jake’s Wayback Burgers will celebrate the opening of its Orange, CT location, which marks the 27th location for the burger joint and eighth restaurant in Connecticut. The franchised restaurant will officially open on Thursday at 10:30 p.m. and close at 9 p.m. Jake’s Wayback Burgers will open four more franchises in Connecticut in Avon, West Hartford, New Haven and Stamford within the year. Jake’s Wayback Burgers is rapidly expanding, with 175 newly expected franchises to be sold by 2011. Jake’s Wayback Burgers serves the best burgers under the bun, hand-pattied from 100% fresh, never frozen ground beef and grilled to order. The restaurant offers rich, thick milkshakes made the old-fashioned way by hand, using only fresh milk and hand-dipped ice cream. Jake’s Wayback Burgers has also offers marinated grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, turkey burgers, and house-made chips, as well as the famous Burger and Shake of the Month.

Rotary Club of Orange Sponsors Mother's Day Rose Sale Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Orange Rotary Club will be having its annual Rose Sale on Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th (Mother's Day Weekend). The cost is $15/dozen which includes a clear plastic box and care packet. There will be a variety of colors to choose from and they will make a wonderful Mother's Day gift. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Rotary's initiatives both in the local community and abroad. Roses may be easily pre-ordered by contacting Mike Richetelli at (203)795-8060 or mike@colprop.com, by contacting any Orange Rotarian, or by visiting the Rotary website at www.orangerotaryct.org . Roses will be available for pick-up between 11-2 on Friday, May 6th in front of High Plains Community Center and then from 2-6 at Colonial Properties, 200 Boston Post Rd., Orange.
